Hey Ethan,

I was hangin with you mom yesterday at Dowses' beach in Osterville and she told me about your new undertaking. I just went on your website and am so impressed! Great job! I'm so proud of you and excited for you guys. When you were going through your sh-- I often thought it was so unfair but I know everything happens for a reason. sometimes we can't know the reason for a long time but then it all makes sense. This is your purpose in life the one God made you for. We all have purposes but some time we don't ever get to find out what it is. I"m still waiting for it to become clear to me, what my purpose is. You go man! Good luck.

from your very proud cousin,

Kim

I must say that when I first began reading the electronic banter your front page has to offer, I thought to myself 'finally, a web site I can click on that is not only entertaining and spititually uplifting, but is also a place that anyone can visit without having to worry about things like personal attacks, unkind labels, or back door chuckles. So I read on, only to find a reference to someone turning into a 'Tommy talks alot'. I stopped right there and thought to myself, wait a minute, MY name is Tom. Worse than that, there are people I know that even call me Tommy. To make a long story semi short, I went from being shocked, to confused, to what can only be described as having acute paranoia. These thoughts in my head, repeating themselves over and over, 'do I really talk too much?..more than people not named Tommy?'. I havn't spoken since. Now when people say hi to me...I just nod and keep on walking. But this pledge to stop talking comes with it's own set of difficulties, especially at fast food drive up windows. I used to yell 'fore' on the golf course, now I just let people get hit. Phone conversations are the worst. So I just thought I'd fill you in on the profound impact your web site has had on me. I'd thank you in person, but things are different for me now.

Tommy who formally talked alot.

I am looking forward to checking out your store and of course the "Principles Office", it will be nice to read from the principles office rather than being sent there.

I appreciate you sharing all your effort on not only the site but watching from a distance how you lead a life of sobriety. I struggle everyday but knowing I am not allow is truly helpful. Thanks again.

Hey guys...I met you both at the New England Conference for Young People in A.A.(NECYPAA), in Waterbury CT last weekend. The conversation we had was the most powerful and inspiring experience I had at that convention. I just wanted to thank you for that. I am taking your advice, and in the last week I spoke for 25 mins at a commitment, started my new position as the Secretary on the committee for District 25(The Worcester area), and took on the responsibility of putting together a commitment once a month at a local hospital. I've also shared about the conversation we had, and the fears I had have subsided immensely. I was given the opportunity to help another person who recently lost their younger sister, something I also experienced. It was a moving experience because I was that person a couple years ago, sheepishly approaching someone who shared about losing a loved one, with tears in my eyes, barely able to get the question out.."Does it get any easier..?" I saw myself and was deeply affected by the fact that I was able to extend my hand, share my experience, and comfort that person just by being honest about my own experience. I truly understand the purpose of the conferences now, and my purpose for being there was fulfilled with your help. I just wanted to say thank you, and I love what you guys are doing with the website. I'll be keeping in touch. Thanks again. Your friend, Jeremy H.
