About The Camel
you know...... Charlie!

In some circles the Camel represents the nature of living one day at a time in recovery.

The camel begins it's day on it's knees, ends it's day on it's knees and can go a day without a drink.

The laughing aspect of The Laughing Camel exemplifies our joy for living this great life.  We are having a great time and we want you to join, so that's why we didn't name it: the miserable camel, the morbose camel, the moderately kinda happy camel, the when I get there I will enjoy myself camel, the boring camel, the pissed off camel, the sad camel, the angry camel, ok ok ok.... you get the point. But feel free to start one of those and let us know how it works out for you.

Now Charlie, and yes we have named the camel. And it is Charlie. And yes Charlie one half the influence is you because Ethan thought "i know a charlie and he's pretty great". So dad, in honor of you we named our camel Charlie (be sure to thank me later - love Ethan).

The other inspiration for naming our camel Charlie is to acknowledge the time spent on earth by one soul, who was unrelenting in his quest to help others and undaunted by the noise and chaos on this plane. He was a bright beacon that was always laughing, always hugging, always smiling and always helping. (I miss you Charlie - love Jeff)

Thanks to Evelyn for sending along another share about the camel...

"The camel goes each day to his knees,

And takes up his load with the greatest of ease.

He walks through the desert with his head held high,

And stays, for that day, completely dry."
